Tommen was our high school intern for a month, living at his home in Shenzhen and coming into the makerspace on weekdays as an excellent Resident Educator! He volunteered at SAIS helping with Project Based Learning efforts (pictured at SAIS, using the laser cutter), and also created prototypes at SteamHead for use in our Maker Ed workshops. Tommen was an especially great Resident Educator because, as a student and as a highly empathetic person, he had great insight into the problems faced by students today and how Maker Education could present itself as a motivation avenue for them.
