About Us
SteamHead is a network of people, spaces, and events who collaborate to improve equity in education as the path forward.
We believe that by embracing design thinking and a maker-mindset, education can be more engaging and meaningful, and with that more effective in preparing students for success.
Our Mission
To provide access to quality, relevant education focused on integrating design, technology, and community.
Our Vision
We envision a world where individuals are confident in their abilities, free to question, and have access to the resources and opportunities they need to build a fulfilling life of their own definition.
Our COMMUNITY
We serve K-12 students by working with them directly, and also collaborating with teachers and educational organizations.
Annual Report
We publish our stories, hardships and triumphs that we experience while implementing design thinking and maker-mindsets in schools around the world. We do this to inspire those attempting changes in their own communities, and to show how Making Great Things creates platforms for student voices to be heard.
View our Annual Report to see how we build education communities that participate in maker-oriented events by running support meetings, workshops, and documenting the journeys of the participants.
We have done this for over 14 years in order to increase the community’s capacity to add design thinking and maker-mindsets into local education. These programs amplify and empower the existing and amazing participants in our education systems.
