Our design immersion curriculum teaches students the high-level concepts of design planning and community impact as well as the hands-on digital and physical tools needed to enact their ideas.

This year we got a grant from the Shekou Community Foundation to expand our work there and do a 3D printing and design class taught by SteamHead regular, Luke Henderson. He takes time out of his busy schedule working at M5 Stack to come teach this class, and uses the grant resources to print out all the kid’s projects.
We visited Luke’s class in November to document the class and interview Luke and our school liaison Jane Liang. Then we caught up with James and the school’s technology teacher Mr. Chen at the Nanshan School Maker Faire to see the kids in action.
