Bailey Hu at TechNode Features Maker Ed

by | Nov 1, 2018

Last week, Bailey Hu stopped by SAIS and Steamhead to talk with James and Carrie as part of her TechNode article. In her article, Bailey does a great job highlighting how much maker ed has grown over the last few years, talking about Shenzhen Maker Fair 2018, MG Space, and even us! We’re happy to be in such good company. It’s great to see attention being paid to all the progress and exciting things happening in Shenzhen maker education. Go check out Bailey’s article here: https://technode.com/2018/10/31/china-maker-education-change/
Commentary
As our community brings the maker mindset into education, our efforts will seem “scattered,” but that is also evidence of one of our greatest strengths here in Shenzhen: innovation. People in maker ed are willing to try new things, experiment, and learn from both their own efforts and those around them. If something doesn’t work, change it. When there’s a challenge, try something new or draw on the experiences of others. Then when something works, we tell everyone we can so they can benefit from it.
